United World College, Armenia

The United World College Dilijan campus is set in the heart of Armenia's scenic national park.  This multi-award winning college building designed by Tim Flynn architects is the first project in Armenia with a BREEAM certification.

With a latitude of 40.7N degrees, similar to Madrid, it gets its fair share of summer sun, whilst in winter months, at nearly 5000 feet altitude, the snow covered mountains are powerful reflectors.  To help control the glare, Solar supplied and installed over 400 roller blinds in Decor Alfresco Fabric.  Decor Alfresco is an open weave screen fabric which allows a view to outside whilst significantly reducing incoming heat and glare.  The decor 350 roller blind system was selected for its ablility to handle the large glazed facades and is engineered for years of intensive use.
