Kings Cross Regen House

The Regeneration House project was a refurbishment of an 1850's building forming part of the Kings Cross development, which is reputed to be Europe's largest redevelopment project.

Decor Systems were involved in providing roller blinds throughout the office suite.  Selected offices had a double roller system with an outer sunscreen blind and an inner blackout roller blind, giving a dual level of shading according to occupants requirements.  The decor arctic sunscreen material provided daytime privacy whilst the decor tempest blackout material provided perfect conditions for multimedia presentations.

The arch-head style of windows meant that the roller blinds had to be produced in one piece, up to 3.6m square.  For these large blinds, we used the heavy duty decor 370 roller shade system, with optional lift-assist springs for ease of operation.  The decor 370 system also featured a stainless steel operating chain for enhanced durability.

A high level window above a mezzanine area was automated to allow easy user control via a remote switch.
