The global multi-disciplinary building design firm Arup took the top two floors of this ten storey office development and engaged Overbury to do the fit-out. This stunning fit out scheme featured the brand new SyncroShade® roller blind throughout. The SyncroShade® system has preset stop positions so all the blinds align horizontally, to mainain a neat symmetrical appearance.
SyncroShade® blinds have a one-touch operation. To put them down you simply pull on the chain to release the brake and walk away, the blind comes down to the next preset position.
The blinds used the plain woven decor Zephyr polyester fabric, which is available in wide 3m width, enabling the full height curtain walling modules to be done in a single blind without joins.
A recess was provided around the ceiling perimeter to conceal the blinds when they are up.
High level glazing above a staircase required motorised blinds, so Arup chose ultra-quiet Acovo roller blinds which were programmed to align with the manual roller blinds.
