Cambridge Assessment - The Triangle

A brand new headquarters facility for Cambridge Assessment, designed to accomodate 3000 staff.  This state-of-the-art facility with its modern open plan layout and rooftop gardens, replaces 11 separate offices spread across the city.  Main contractor Bouygues needed a solution for window shading which addressed various design challenges including inward opening windows, cloaking of facade-soffit interface and concealing blinds.

Decor Systems supplied and installed over 2.5km of their unique Perimeos® universal ceiling recess, with a bespoke fascia extrusion.  This not only conceals the blinds but also cloaks the unsightly soffit-facade interface, without any visible fixings.  The Perimeos® system was powdercoated to match the aluminium window system.

The 4-storey office development used the Decor Monaco screen fabric throughout in 3% openness which cuts down glare but still allows views out.  The meeting rooms on the ground floor featured dual blinds with Decor Nebula blackout fabric on the outer blind to provide enhanced light control, making it easy to see AV equipment.
